Vidalista 5 to Black 80: every tadalafil strength explained

Six Vidalista boxes, one molecule. Vidalista 5, 10, 20, 40, 60 and Black 80 all contain tadalafil — the generic of Cialis — made by Centurion Laboratories in India. The range runs from a tablet small enough to take every morning to one with four times the licensed on-demand ceiling in a single black pill. Most men need exactly one of them, and it is almost never the black one.

The emails fall into two piles: “which number do I start at?” and “is Black 80 the strong one?” This guide answers both.

The short answer

Tadalafil has two licensed regimens. On demand: start at 10 mg, 20 mg maximum. Daily: 2.5 to 5 mg every day, so timing stops mattering. Vidalista 10 and 20 cover the first; Vidalista 5 covers the second. Three products do all the licensed work. Vidalista 40, 60 and Black 80 are above the maximum and belong to a doctor’s decision, not a shopping cart.

Two ways to take tadalafil: daily and on demand

Sildenafil is a one-trick tablet: an hour later it works, four hours later it’s fading. Tadalafil stays in the blood so long that there are two legitimate ways to use it, and they need different tablets.

The daily option is the one customers most often don’t know exists. A Vidalista 5 every morning builds a steady level over about five days. After that, no clock, no planning. The trade-off: side effects, if you get them, are also every day.

The Vidalista ladder, 5 mg to Black 80

All six come in strips of ten, foil-printed with batch and expiry, from the same Centurion factory that makes Cenforce. Black 80 is — you guessed it — black, which does a lot of the marketing for it. And the milligram numbers are not comparable to sildenafil’s: Vidalista 20 sits at the same position on its ladder as Cenforce 100 does on the sildenafil one. Why 40, 60 and 80 are above the licensed maximum

Cialis is licensed at 2.5 and 5 mg daily and 10 and 20 mg on demand. That’s the full list. No Cialis 40, no Cialis 60, certainly no Cialis 80. The approval trials found 20 mg is where the benefit flattened while side effects kept climbing.

Vidalista 40, 60 and Black 80 are Centurion’s own strengths above that ceiling. We stock them because some doctors do direct higher doses in men who have genuinely failed 20 mg. We won’t pretend they’re something else.

What actually happens above 20 mg:

• → The erection benefit rises a little, if at all. The enzyme is already mostly blocked.
• → Headache, flushing and the back-ache signature all become more likely — and with an 80 mg tablet you carry the drug for four days rather than three.
• → The blood-pressure drop is larger, which matters if you’re on any blood-pressure or prostate medicine.
• → Priapism risk rises. Rare, but an erection over four hours is a hospital visit.

The customers happiest with Vidalista 60 or Black 80 are almost always splitting them — half a 40 is 20 mg, a quarter of a Black 80 is 20 mg. Cheaper per milligram, but you’re trusting yourself to cut an unlicensed strength precisely. For most men the 20 mg tablet is the cleaner answer.

The 36-hour window, and what it means for side effects

Take Vidalista 20 on Friday evening and it is still useful on Sunday morning. First-time customers regularly email us on day two, mildly alarmed. It’s normal. That is the product.

The number to hold in your head is the half-life: about 17.5 hours. A single 20 mg dose is essentially gone in about three days; 40 mg and above take closer to four. So side effects last as long as the drug does — a tadalafil headache can be a day, not an evening — and the nitrate danger lasts the whole window. Take tadalafil Friday, end up in A&E Saturday with chest pain, and the drug is still in you. Tell them.

Talk to a doctor first if you’ve had a heart attack or stroke in the last six months, unstable angina, very low or uncontrolled high blood pressure, severe liver or kidney disease, sudden vision loss (NAION), retinitis pigmentosa, sickle cell, or a penis deformity. Alpha-blockers (tamsulosin, doxazosin) need care — a doctor’s call.

The back-ache signature

Every PDE5 inhibitor has a tell. Sildenafil’s is the blue-tinted vision. Tadalafil’s is a dull ache in the lower back and thighs 12 to 24 hours after the dose, lasting a day or two. Nobody is entirely sure why, but it’s well documented and it’s the side effect our tadalafil customers mention most.

What we tell people:

• → It is not dangerous. It’s dose-related — rare at 5 mg, occasional at 20 mg, distinctly more common at 40 and above.
• → Paracetamol and water sort it for most men.
• → If it bothers you at 20 mg, try 10 mg. Still a problem? Sildenafil doesn’t do this — see the sildenafil range.

The other common effects are the family ones: headache, blocked nose, indigestion, flushing.

Food, alcohol and timing

Here tadalafil is easier than sildenafil.

1. Food doesn’t matter. A heavy dinner delays sildenafil by an hour. It has no meaningful effect on tadalafil. Before dinner, with dinner, after — same result.
2. Lead time: at least 30 minutes, ideally 1–2 hours for a first try. Peak is around two hours in.
3. Alcohol: a drink or two. Heavy drinking plus tadalafil can make you dizzy on standing, and alcohol on its own causes ED.
4. Grapefruit juice raises tadalafil levels. Skip it on the day.
5. One dose per 24 hours. Especially because the last one is still working.
6. Arousal is still required. Take it and watch a film, nothing happens — for 36 hours.

How to pick your strength

Stop at the first line that fits.

1. Never taken tadalafil, sex a couple of times a week or less. Vidalista 10, or half a Vidalista 20. One to two hours’ lead time, food doesn’t matter. Try it at least twice.
2. Sex more than twice a week, or you’re done with planning. Vidalista 5 daily. Give it five days to build up before judging.
3. 10 mg gave a partial result, no real side effects. Vidalista 20. This is where most of our on-demand customers settle.
4. Kidney or liver problems, or on ritonavir/ketoconazole/an alpha-blocker. Vidalista 5 as an on-demand dose, and only after a doctor has seen your list.
5. 20 mg works but the back ache is a problem. Drop to 10 mg, or switch molecules — Cenforce 100 doesn’t do this.
6. 20 mg genuinely fails after several proper tries. See a doctor. Vidalista 40, 60 or Black 80 is their call. Often the answer is something else entirely.

Our opinion: Vidalista 20 is the right first purchase for most men. Halve it to start, and one pack covers both licensed on-demand doses. If you’d rather never think about timing, Vidalista 5 daily is the most under-rated product in our tadalafil range. Black 80 is the one we’d most like people to stop ordering on impulse — the colour of the tablet is not a dosing recommendation.

Questions we get asked

Is Vidalista Black 80 stronger than Vidalista 20?

It contains four times the tadalafil, but the effect doesn’t scale with it. Tadalafil’s benefit flattens around 20 mg — the licensed maximum — while headache, back ache and blood-pressure effects keep rising. Black 80 should only be taken under medical advice. Most men who buy it are splitting it.

What’s the difference between Vidalista 5 and Vidalista 20?

Vidalista 5 is the daily-dose tablet: one every morning, taken whether or not you have sex, so the drug is always working. Vidalista 20 is the on-demand maximum, taken 30 minutes to two hours before and lasting up to 36 hours. Same molecule, two different regimens. Don’t combine them.

How long does Vidalista last?

Up to 36 hours of useful effect from a 10 or 20 mg tablet, with peak levels around two hours after taking it. The drug itself takes about three days to clear completely, which is why side effects and the nitrate interaction outlast the evening. Vidalista 5 daily is continuous once it has built up.

Can I cut Vidalista tablets?

Yes. All Vidalista strengths are scored and split cleanly with a pill cutter. Half a Vidalista 20 is the 10 mg starting dose; half a Vidalista 5 is the 2.5 mg daily dose. Quartering a Black 80 to get 20 mg is possible but imprecise, and we’d rather you bought the 20.

Why does my back ache the day after Vidalista?

That’s tadalafil’s signature side effect — a dull ache in the lower back and thighs 12 to 24 hours after the dose, lasting a day or two. It isn’t dangerous and it’s dose-related. Paracetamol and water help. If it’s a recurring problem at 20 mg, try 10 mg or consider sildenafil, which doesn’t cause it.

Does food affect Vidalista?

No. Unlike sildenafil, tadalafil’s absorption isn’t meaningfully affected by a heavy or fatty meal. Take it before, with or after dinner. Grapefruit juice does raise levels and is best avoided on the day, and alcohol should stay at a drink or two.

What to do now
